KEEPING OUR CUSTOMERS & STAFF SAFE

TINA AND ANDY'S OPENING MESSAGE

So at last we can re-open the pub at 12 midday on 4th July but only because the social distancing measure has been lowered from 2 – 1 metre plus. To start we are going to open Thursday to Sunday inclusive as that helps with the government furlough system and the re-introduction of staff. It also means that we have to abide by new measures to ensure that we keep our customers and staff safe.

The Faulkland Inn is Covid free and fully sanitized to ensure that you have a safe environment in which to eat and drink. In order to keep it so we have separated the tables as best we can and set the seating so that people on separate tables are not facing each other. We ask that you enter by the front door and leave by the back door where there are hand sanitiser dispensers available also one person in the toilets only at any one time where again there are soap dispensers and electric hand dryers. We all know that we cannot wash our hands too often.

It is absolutely essential that you make a reservation for eating as even if you are only coming in for a drink it will have to be ordered at the bar and delivered to a table as we cannot have people congregating around the bar area as we all like to do. You might have noticed that we have new picnic tables on the front car park in addition to the 5 in the back courtyards as we are told that the virus does not transmit as well outside so there is additional seating for eating and drinking subject of course to the weather. Again subject to the weather we will anchor back all of the doors so that none of us have to touch any more surfaces than we need to and thereby increase the ventilation as we are told that also decreases the rate of transmission. On the bar there will be a register of people in the pub for any subsequent track and trace requirements and we ask that you all “sign in” accordingly. Remember we are virus free so the only way the inside of the pub can be infected is if someone brings it in so it stands to reason that if you have any symptoms or are in any way worried that you may be infected please stay away.

We already have tables booked for Saturday 4th July and we intend having a similar menu to that prior to closure which will include Tina’s Sunday lunch. Again in order to ensure that we order product and staff accordingly please, please book in advance. Should you have any favourites that you want to see added to our offerings for food or drink please don’t hesitate to tell us and we will do what we can.

We are really looking forward to opening and welcoming you back to your village pub. It is our intention to make The Faulkland Inn a village pub to be envied all over the south west and with your help and respect to the still present virus we are sure that we will make it so.

Tina, Andy and all of the staff.
